Welcome to About Me Archives ("we," "our," "us," or the "Platform"), operated by About Me Archives LLC, a Florida limited liability company. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at aboutmearchives.com, mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website with a new "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, via email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
"Account" means your registered account on the Platform.
"Content" means any videos, images, text, audio, or other materials you upload, record, or submit through the Service.
"Legacy Snapshot" means a collection of up to 10 individual 2-minute video recordings, each answering one prescribed life story question.
"Questions Gallery" means our curated collection of 140+ guided questions across 10 categories available to Premium subscribers.
"Time Vault" means the feature allowing users to schedule video messages for future delivery on specific dates or upon their passing.
"Legacy Steward" means a person designated by you to manage certain aspects of your Account after your death.
"Premium Subscription" or "Premium" means a paid subscription that unlocks additional features and capabilities.
"Free Tier" means the basic, unpaid level of service available to all registered users.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an Account and use the Service. By creating an Account, you represent and warrant that:
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an Account by providing a valid email address and creating a password. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
You are responsible for safeguarding your Account credentials and for all activities that occur under your Account. You must notify us immediately at support@aboutmearchives.com if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your Account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your Account credentials.
Each individual may maintain only one Account. Duplicate accounts may be terminated without notice.

We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features from any service tier at any time. Material changes to Premium features will be communicated to affected subscribers in advance where practicable.
The Legacy Snapshot is a foundational element of our Service. To access certain features of the Platform, including profile completion and full dashboard functionality, you must record at least one Legacy Snapshot video. You are encouraged to complete all 10 questions, but only one recorded video is required to unlock Platform features.
You may re-record any individual Legacy Snapshot video at any time. Re-recording replaces only that specific question's video without affecting your other recordings. Up to 10 Legacy Snapshot videos (one per prescribed question) may be stored per user at any time.
Important: Your Legacy Snapshot videos are automatically set to public visibility and cannot be made private. By recording Legacy Snapshot videos, you acknowledge and consent to this public visibility. If you do not wish your Legacy Snapshot videos to be publicly viewable, do not complete the recordings.

Prices are in United States Dollars (USD) and are subject to change. We will provide notice of price changes before they take effect.
Important: The Monthly Plan requires a 12-month minimum commitment. By subscribing to the Monthly Plan, you agree to pay the monthly subscription fee for a minimum of 12 consecutive months. Early cancellation of the Monthly Plan before the 12-month commitment period ends does not entitle you to a refund of past payments, except as provided in Section 7.5 (Money-Back Guarantee).
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selected plan). Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for all applicable fees.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method and authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred. We do not store your complete credit card information on our servers.
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new Premium subscribers. If you are not satisfied with your Premium subscription, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial subscription purchase by contacting support@aboutmearchives.com. This guarantee applies only to first-time Premium subscribers and only to the initial subscription payment.
After the 30-day guarantee period, refunds for Monthly Plan subscriptions are generally not available. For Annual Plan subscriptions, we may provide a pro-rated refund at our sole discretion for the unused portion of your subscription term, minus any applicable fees.
You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time through your Account settings or by contacting support@aboutmearchives.com. Upon cancellation:
You retain all ownership rights to the Content you create and upload to the Service. We do not claim ownership of your videos, images, or other materials.
By uploading or recording Content on the Service, you grant About Me Archives a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform your Content solely for the purposes of:
This license continues for as long as your Content remains on the Service and terminates when your Content is deleted from our systems.
By submitting Content, you represent and warrant that:
While we strive to maintain the security and integrity of your Content, you are responsible for maintaining your own backup copies. We recommend regularly downloading copies of your important videos and content.
You agree not to upload, record, or transmit any Content that:
We reserve the right to remove any Content that violates these Terms and to suspend or terminate Accounts of users who repeatedly violate these prohibitions.
Time Vault is a Premium feature that allows you to record video messages for future delivery. Time Vault messages can be scheduled for delivery on a specific date ("Date-Scheduled") or upon your death ("Death-Activated").
You may designate up to 10 recipients per Time Vault message. Recipients are identified by their name and email address. Recipients do not need to have an Account on our Platform to receive Time Vault messages.
Date-Scheduled messages are automatically delivered via email to your designated recipients on the specified date. Death-Activated messages are delivered only after your passing has been confirmed through our verification process and triggered by your designated Legacy Steward.
While we make commercially reasonable efforts to deliver Time Vault messages as scheduled, we cannot guarantee delivery. Factors beyond our control, including email deliverability issues, incorrect recipient information, and technical failures, may affect delivery. We are not liable for any failure to deliver Time Vault messages.
If you cancel your Premium subscription, Time Vault messages you have already created will be preserved and will still be delivered as scheduled. However, you will not be able to create new Time Vault messages or edit existing ones without an active Premium subscription.
You may designate one primary Legacy Steward and one backup Legacy Steward to manage certain aspects of your Account after your death. Your designated Legacy Steward must accept the role before they can perform any steward functions.

These limitations are designed to preserve your legacy as you intended.
Before a Legacy Steward can access your Account in steward capacity, we may require verification of your death through documentation such as a death certificate, obituary, or other reasonable evidence. We reserve the right to determine what constitutes sufficient verification.
Our Family Tree feature allows you to build visual connections with family members. You may add family members to your tree and invite them to join the Platform.
When you invite someone to join your family tree, they will receive an email invitation. If they accept and create an Account, your family trees will be automatically connected. You may only send invitations to individuals you have a genuine family relationship with.
You control your own privacy settings within family trees. You may choose to display as a placeholder (showing only your relationship, not your name) or to hide from the global family network discovery features.
Free Tier users may add up to 20 family members to their tree. Premium subscribers may add unlimited family members.
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service, including its design, features, code, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by About Me Archives LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. "About Me Archives," our logo, and other service names are trademarks of About Me Archives LLC. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written permission.
You may close your Account at any time by contacting support@aboutmearchives.com. Upon Account closure:

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the reliability, timeliness, quality, accuracy, or availability of the Service.
We do not provide legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice through the Service. Any content on the Platform is for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ABOUT ME ARCHIVES LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting support@aboutmearchives.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting you via email. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days of submission, you or we may bring a formal proceeding.
You and About Me Archives LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be conducted in Jacksonville, Florida, unless otherwise mutually agreed.
YOU AND ABOUT ME ARCHIVES LLC AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Duval County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and About Me Archives LLC concerning the Service.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of About Me Archives LLC.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
We may provide notices to you via the email address associated with your Account or by posting on the Service. You should keep your contact information current.
